e*Message, a leading provider of communication and alerting solutions in Germany, and KATHREIN Broadcast have successfully completed a complex project to convert satellite stations.

The aim of the project was to align over 420 receiving antennas throughout Germany with a new satellite within just three months. “As the operator of the independent, satellite-based security radio network in Germany with more than 700 ground stations, we place the highest demands on the reliability of our infrastructure,” explains e*Message managing director Dirk Nopens. “KATHREIN Broadcast provided us with excellent support in this challenging project and coordinated the conversion of
the 420 locations first-class.”

KATHREIN's tasks included the entire internal project management, the management of the KATHREIN field service teams as well as carrying out the assembly and implementation work at the locations, which were sometimes difficult to access. Challenges such as rough terrain and dense vegetation were successfully mastered by KATHREIN's experienced team of technicians.

With the successful completion of this project, KATHREIN Broadcast and e*Message once again underline their expertise and reliability as partners for critical communication infrastructures. "We are very grateful for the professional support and great commitment of the KATHREIN team," emphasizes e*Message boss Nopens.

“Such large-scale conversion projects require precise planning and an experienced team on site,” explains Viktor Mann, project manager at KATHREIN Broadcast. "Our specialists implemented everything smoothly, from the site inspection to installation on the systems, which were sometimes difficult to access."
